ARTmuffin Studio

This 11" x 14" print is printed on 100lb. 'silk' card stock. Not too shiny but the finish isn't flat either.

I think this idea was originally born out of the shot of E.T. and Elliot riding past the full moon (the Amblin Entertainment logo). One day I saw it and had an idea in my head of a grim reaper riding a bicycle with a cat in the front basket.

Originally I had done some sketches at different angles than this final version but the other versions weren't coming right at you and I wanted it to feel a little more menacing....watch out, we're coming for you! That's one of the reasons I added the 'FEAR TH!S' knuckle tattoos to the reaper finger bones. It just seemed like a fun image to draw and incorporated skulls and bats so I was on board for sitting down to create it. I've also always like the idea of a cat wearing goggles, and then adding in the crazy sharp fangs made it feel a little crazy too.
